How to Create and Manage Enrollment Keys

Creating and Managing Enrollment Keys

What are Enrollment Keys?

Enrollment keys are unique codes that allow users to register their browsers with your GuardAxion security platform. Each key can be assigned specific security policies through service classes.

Creating an Enrollment Key

Step 1: Navigate to Enrollment Keys

  1. From the main dashboard, click Setup & Deployment
  2. Select Enrollment Keys

Step 2: Create New Key

  1. Click the Add New Enrollment Key button
  2. Fill in the required information:
    • Description: Meaningful name (e.g., "Sales Team Q4 2025")
    • Service Class: Select the policy group to apply
    • Max Uses: Set limit or leave unlimited
    • Expiration Date: Optional expiry date
    • Auto-Approve: Enable for automatic enrollment

Step 3: Distribute the Key

  1. Copy the generated enrollment key
  2. Share it securely with your users
  3. Provide instructions for browser extension installation

Managing Existing Keys

Viewing Key Status

  • Active: Key is ready for use
  • Expired: Key has passed expiration date
  • Max Uses Reached: Key has reached enrollment limit

Editing a Key

  1. Click the Edit button next to the key
  2. Modify settings as needed
  3. Save changes

Revoking a Key

  1. Click the Delete button
  2. Confirm revocation
  3. Previously enrolled devices remain enrolled

Best Practices

  • Create separate keys for different departments
  • Set reasonable expiration dates (30-90 days)
  • Use max uses limits for controlled deployments
  • Document which keys are used where
  • Regularly review and clean up old keys

Troubleshooting

  • Key Not Working: Check expiration date and max uses
  • Wrong Policies Applied: Verify service class assignment
  • Can't Delete Key: Ensure no active enrollments depend on it
